Home office planning for Hamburg apartments

MODULE ID · M-04 · CABLE AND POWER

Power paths that respect Hamburg skirting

Outlets in older Hamburg flats often sit behind radiators or under window seats. Extension spaghetti across parquet is unsafe and ugly. We map a clean path from circuit to desk — surface raceway, floor post, or discreet skirting channel — and label loads so breakers stay within reason.

MODULE ID · M-04A · RADIATOR CONFLICT

Routing around cast radiators

Cast-iron radiators under Speicherstadt windows leave almost no plug access in winter. We lift the feed to a brass-finished surface trunk that rises beside the radiator, then drops into a desk grommet so cords never rest on hot fins.

Where landlords forbid new wall boxes, the trunk is surface-mounted with removable clips — no chasing plaster until you own the flat.

MODULE ID · M-04C · CIRCUIT MATH

Counting watts before the breaker trips

A dual-monitor setup, dock, lamp, and space heater on one Altona kitchen circuit will trip by late afternoon. We separate heating loads from IT loads and note which sockets share a fuse with the fridge — a frequent surprise in open-plan renovations.

Clients receive a simple load sheet in EUR-priced packages; we do not perform electrical installation ourselves but coordinate with a licensed Hamburg electrician when new sockets are required.

MODULE ID · M-04D · DATA CLEANUP

Separating data from power in short runs

USB-C docks and HDMI cables hate sharing a tight metal channel with mains. We keep a dual chamber: brass-coloured cover for power, open felt for data, so you can re-plug without unthreading the whole desk.

Half-day cable surveys are €340; full-day apartment-wide outlet mapping with load sheets is €640.
